FoxPuppy I like that the Cave Slinkies tend to throw away the rulebook for "retro" and go where the muse directs. This is an excellent group of songs that are at times, strange, at times, beautiful, and at times, strangely beautiful.

Where did we go Where did we go From days when our love was strong You were moving me right along Now I'm standing in the cold Things I don't understand Like you needing another man My heart is in your hand Looks like I lose again I was feeling you hold me tight Like you did the other night You were outta sight Now I'm sleeping all alone With thoughts that we've left unsaid By keeping them in our head Seems that the life we've led Is spinning out of control Maybe, we'll get this straight You said "Don't hold your breath. Nothing is certain, yet. I don't know where I stand." Where did we go From days when our love was strong You were moving me right along Now I'm standing in the cold

Who done it 04:20
Who done it Who done it Who broke your heart Then ran away From tomorrow Don't cry now Tears wasted Always been something to learn From today, or days that are coming All that I've got left to say Is, "Better just quit your running" Who done it Who caused you pain Cities all the same Nothing left to blame Don't cry now Tears wasted I've got a better idea To bring a smile to your face Just grab 'hold of my hand Together, we'll run from this place

Let's spend the weekend Let's spend the weekend, together, somewhere You pick the spot, I'll go anywhere You climb the fences, I'll put flowers in your hair Let's spend the weekend, together, somewhere Let's spend the weekend, alone, just me and you We'll do the things we've often wanted to We'll share some good times before this night is through Let's spend the weekend, alone, just me and you After all these times I know I love you still And as these feelings grow, I guess I always will I'm gonna love you, love you until The sky rips apart and the earth stands still We don't need permission to play in God's game He's got us in his focus, we're playing in his aim There are no rules to follow, as long as we play fair Let's spend the weekend, together, somewhere Let's spend the weekend, together, as friends As good times go, I hope this never ends We'll drop our inhibitions, there's no need to pretend Let's spend the weekend, together, as friends Let's spend the weekend, together, somewhere You pick the spot, I'll go anywhere I'll hold you tight as we breathe the crisp night air Let's spend the weekend, together, somewhere

I Need to Know Cold heart, let me feel you beat Turned numb on this loveless street Outside, all the leaves are green Springtime, no more winter scene Dark heart, let me see you shine Burned out through this loveless time No light on the streets I walk I need hope, but, all I get is talk I need to know that I can be your man I need to know there's someone to understand Cold heart Still heart, let me hear you sing Turned mute by this loveless thing I've tried, through these lonely nights To understand, but, I just can't get it right I need to know that I can be your man I need to know there's someone to understand Cold heart

Tender kiss 03:18
Tender kiss We sit alone, by fire light She has red hair that I like And then I'll hold her real tight Just take the evening slow I love every tender kiss She fills me with heavenly bliss I long for more times like this Just take the evening slow We sit alone, by fire light She has red hair that I like And then we'll hold on real tight Just take the evening slow
